2010 Property Tax Information

Per RCW 84.56.020, the 2010 Real and Personal Property Tax Files are complete. We are able to collect and receipt for 2010 and prior year taxes at this time. You may obtain tax information on our website, by phone, or by coming to the office.

Property tax statements for 2010 have been redesigned and have now been mailed. The redesign and proofing for accuracy caused the statements to be mailed a couple of weeks later than usual. This is happening in conjunction with the Assessor/Treasurer systems update that has been taking place over the last several months.

We have also chosen to mail the actual paper statements to the property owner versus mortgage and tax service companies. This allows property owners to be better informed regarding their tax amounts and the status of those taxes. If you have a mortgage company, the statement is for informational purposes only. However, please verify that your mortgage company does pay your taxes, so the taxes do not become delinquent. We will be sending the mortgage companies the billing file electronically, so they will be getting a bill-just not in paper format. We have been working with the mortgage companies throughout the process, so they are aware of the new procedures and are very excited that we are moving to electronic billing and acceptance of their payments.

Since all statements have now been mailed, please notify our office if you have not received a statement.
