County Clerk's Office

The Pend Oreille County Clerk is one of the elected officials provided by the Washington State Constitution with specific duties assigned by statue and court rules. The Clerk is, by virtue of the Constitution, ex-officio of Superior Court and serves as the official record keeper and financial officer of Superior Court. Tammie Ownbey has held the position of County Clerk since January of 2007.
Mission Statement: As the "gatekeeper" of the court, it is our mission to protect the integrity and accuracy of the court records of Pend Oreille County Superior Court while serving the public and legal community in a courteous and professional manner. The office is committed to providing timely assistance, ensuring equal access to court services, treating users of the court system with respect and dignity and enhancing public trust and confidence in the court system.
