- Design Completed: 2016- Bridge and Roadway design completed
- Environmental Permitting: Winter 2016- Environmental Permitting completed. Permits for work issued to Pend Oreille County
- Project Bids Cancelled: Winter 2017- Project let for bid.
- Bids Not Accepted: Spring 2017- Board of Commissioners choose to reject all bids and place project on a state of hold due to Hwy 31 closure. Board receives approval for extension of funding to 2018.
- Project Rebid: Project is re-bid. Versatile Industries is awarded the bid for construction. Work scheduled to begin March of 2018
- Pre-Construction Conference scheduled with contractor: A pre-construction conference was held with Versatile Industries on 3/20/2018. The specifics of the project were discussed and a start date of 3/26/2018 was established.
- Project will begin: Work will begin on Monday March 26th, 2018 @ 7:00am. The roadway will be impassable at milepost 8.6 due to bridge removal. Roadway closures will be as follows: Southbound @ Sand Creek Rd and Northbound @ Noisy Creek Campground
- Road closed / work begins: The contractor began snow removal efforts this week along with delivery of project materials.
- Existing bridge removed and disposed: The Contractor dismantled existing Sullivan Lake Inlet bridge and disposed it.
- In water work completed: The Contractor has completed in water work, foundation for grade beam is build on both sides, Grade beams will be placed on April 26, 2018.
- Bridge grade beam and beams placed: Contractor has placed Bridge grade beams and bulb tee beams.
- As planned, road will open before Memorial Day weekend: New bridge will be constructed and Sullivan Lake Road will open before Memorial Day weekend.
- Road opens to traffic: Bridge construction is completed. As of May 24, 2018. Sullivan Lake Rd is open to traffic.
