Court scheduling for first appearances are each working business day and most Sundays. The appearance time varies due to each daily court docket in District Court. A first appearance may be scheduled for extended holiday weekends. You may contact District Court for the first appearance time for the day at (509) 447-4110.
Regular court days are as follows:
District Court: Wednesdays – (misdemeanors)
Superior Court: Thursdays – (felonies) Scheduled jury trials are placed on the docket as needed.
Fridays – Commissioners docket LFO’s
Tribal or Bureau of Indian Affairs Court (BIA): This court is conducted in the District Courtroom and is usually a video conference to the Tribal Court in Cusick or Airway Heights. BIA inmates may also be transported to court by tribal officers from this facility.
Department of Corrections Hearings (DOC): DOC Hearings are regularly held within the facility based on the DOC Inmate’s intake date. The public is not able to attend these hearings.
